Cosmetic Procedures

Cosmetic procedures is any of a number of surgical procedures designed to improve the appearance of your eyes, primarily to reduce signs of aging. In most cases, the surgery is performed on the eyelids and/or surrounding tissues, not the eyes.

Blepharoplasty / Eyelid Lift

The most common type of eyelid surgery, is done through incisions following the natural lines of your eyelids. The surgeon makes the incision and then separates the skin from the underlying tissue to remove the excess fat, skin, and muscle. Sutures are then placed in the upper eyelids to close the incisions. The lower lids may not require sutures, depending upon the technique used. The procedure usually takes about two hours if both upper and lower eyelids are done together.

Midface lift

Regardless of the technique your surgeon uses, all face lifts remove excess fat, tighten underlying muscle, and redrape the facial skin. An incision is made in the area of the temple hair, just above and in front of the ear, and is continued under the earlobe to the back of the ear, where it blends into the hairline. Your surgeon lifts the skin and repositions and tightens the underlying muscle and connective tissue. Some fat may be removed, as well as excess skin. The incision will be closed with sutures or metal clips. This procedure is then repeated on the other side of the face.

Eyebrow lift

This procedure can be done through several small incisions in the scalp behind the hairline (endoscopic approach) or through one longer incision concealed in the hair of the scalp. Excess skin is removed to raise the forehead and eyebrow. Blepharoplasty of the upper eyelid may be done in conjunction with the eyebrow and forehead lift.

Asian Eyelid Surgery

Asian blepharoplasty, commonly termed double-eyelid surgery, refers to surgery designed to place a pretarsal crease in Asian eyes that are absent a fold. Patients typically desire to look more bright-eyed and want to make applying eyeliner easier. Patients also seek to remove the puffy and tired look associated with a fatty upper lid.

Ptosis / Drooping Eyelid

Ptosis is defined as drooping of the upper lid, partly covering the pupil. Ptosis causes a tired, sleepy appearance and reduces vision. Repair is intended to provide a more youthful, vibrant appearance as well as to improve your sight.

Tear Trough Rejuvenation

The tear trough is the area between your cheek and lower eyelid. As we age, we lose volume in this area sometimes causing under-eye dark circles to appear. An effective tear trough treatment is to inject filler into this area – restoring the lost volume and reducing the appearance of dark circles.

Wrinkle Relaxing Injections

At a certain age the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are a fact of life, but with today’s range of professional cosmetic treatments they are no longer inevitable. With wrinkle relaxing treatment we can delay and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles so that you look younger for longer.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectable Fillers

Anti-wrinkle injectables are a quick and easy way to stop the tiny contractions that form the folds on your skin when you frown or smile; they are used around the upper face on the forehead, brow and eye area.
